Regarding the Workshop

A regional workshop on the ecohydrology and climatology of the Nile Basin under extreme conditions of drought and flooding is scheduled for June 16-19, 2008 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It will be held at the Science Faculty Graduate School conference center (9th Floor, Room 908), Addis Ababa University. The workshop has the goal of developing and strengthening collaborations with our partners from the Nile Basin countries, identifying research and education thrust areas and forming working groups for a follow up formulation of research and educational plans. The vision of the project team is to launch an integrated national and basin scale collaborative research program that will provide the scientific and technological bases for transboundary policy development and management.

The workshop is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
