Aşıklı Mound

Aşıklı Höyük is an archaeological mound located near the village of Kızılkaya, Aksaray Province, Turkey. Aşıklı Höyük, which belongs to the Neolithic period, M.D. it is an ancient settlement area that was settled between 8200-7400 Dec.Aşıklı Höyük is known as one of the oldest settlement areas of Turkey and bears the traces of the transition to a settled life based on agriculture during the Neolithic period. The mound covers an area of about 4 hectares and consists of 4 main layers.

The excavations carried out at Aşıklı Höyük have led to many important finds and discoveries. The houses found in Höyük indicate that the society has moved to sedentary life and is engaged in agricultural activities.
