​The Ancient City of Sardes is an important ancient city located in the district of Salihli, Manisa Province of Turkey. While the city was known as the capital of the Lydian Kingdom in ancient times, it has also gained a reputation as one of the important stops of the historical Silk Road.Among the most important structures of the Ancient City of Sardes are the acropolis, agora, theater, temples, cisterns and Roman Deconstructions.
